• Participate in seed packaging, planting, pollinating, note taking, harvest, and shelling.
• Organize and participate in field experiments.
• Participate in an assigned project.
• Ensure safety rules are followed at all times.
• Promote a positive image of the company and the research department.
• Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
• Pursuing an Agriculture focused degree in Plant Breeding or Genetics, Plant Pathology or related field
• Must have completed Sophomore year
• A strong GPA
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Excellent organizational and record keeping skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks meet deadlines
• Strong attention to detail
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. (if applicable)
• Ability to work extended hours outdoors
• Must have valid driver’s license and meet MVR Requirements
• Occasional overnight travel is possible
