In this role you will lead a team that is responsible for all aspects of our operational activities at inbred and hybrid research sites. Additionally, you will be responsible for station management at the assigned location. You must possess exceptional drive and ability to champion the new and innovative field processes that incorporate cutting edge technologies. You must be skilled, experienced and excited to drive process and people changes. This role is key to championing a culture of people development to grow skills, experience, and ability within the team for larger roles in the Research organization.
o Lead & support the AgReliant Genetics teams at your site
o Hire, motivate, train, and lead seasonal employees to meet job responsibilities
o Responsible for all preventative maintenance of equipment, buildings, and grounds to ensure the facility is operating in a safe and efficient manner
o Identify & drive strategic opportunities that improve efficiency and operational results of team
o Develop and implement Benchmarking strategies to track improvement of the key deliverables
o Instill and grow a robust team focus among the site Research Associates
o Champion the AgReliant Genetics Mission, Vision, Values at assigned site
o Manage operational and capital budgets relevant to your team and site
o B.S. & 5 years’ experience working within field-focused research programs
o Outstanding agronomic skills required; professional agronomy credentials preferred
o Excellent communication and influencing skills to win stakeholder support of team strategies
o Experience with driving significant organization and process changes
o Experience with leading, managing, and hiring full-time and seasonal employees
o Experience with data software tools (Excel, Word)
o Ability to work required hours; ability to lift 25 lbs.; must have valid driver’s license and meet MVR guidelines
