    AgReliant Genetics is looking for a Regional Sales Manager for our AgriGold division.


    This position directs the sales efforts of assigned region so as to achieve maximum sales, increased market penetration, and efficient distribution of product; co-responsible for recruiting and training of Corn Specialists.



    1. Responsible for maintaining a high level of customer service and professionalism.
    2. Responsible for projecting a positive image of AgriGold Hybrids and AgReliant Genetics.
    3. Management:
    • Member of the AgriGold Sales Team Management Committee, which includes short & long term strategies/coordination & implementation of the brand marketing plan.
    • Develop and actively implement an annual budget for the region.
    • Assume the lead role for any farm shows held in the region in coordination with the brand Sales & Production Coordinator.
    1. Corn Specialists – supervision and development of Corn Specialists including education & training in the following areas:
    • Short & long term strategy and overall plan of the brand sales team.
    • Annual budget creation, management, & implementation within the framework of the region and company strategy.
    • Effective selling techniques by actively riding with the Corn Specialist in the field, regional meetings, annual retreats and training sessions.
    • Product & agronomic knowledge through plot tours, agronomic tours or university programs in coordination with the brand agronomy department.
    • Motivate by example, phone calls, letters, reports or any other means deemed necessary in coordination by the Brand Manager.
    • Annual performance appraisal within the framework of the company review materials and schedule.
    • Actively maintain an orientation meeting plan or any other method necessary to recruit and increase customers in the region.
    • Responsible for the implementation of the plot program in each district with the assistance & coordination of the agronomy department.
    • Actively recruit and maintain a list of prospective corn specialists from key universities within the region or state(s) that make up the region.
    1. Interns:
    • Actively recruit and maintain a list of prospective interns from key universities within the region or state(s) that make up that region.
    • Supervision of interns regarding the return of product and sign program at a regional workshop.
    • Motivate Corn Specialists to manage, supervise, direct and take corrective actions with interns as necessary.
    1. Key Accounts:
    • Identify Key Accounts in the region with the assistance of the Agronomy and Marketing departments.
    • Identify other Key Accounts in the region (i.e., Mega farmers, Farm managers, retailers, elevators, etc.).
    • Actively develop and implement a Key Account Strategy in the region in coordination with the Key Account Manager and the Sales Manager.
    1. Works closely with Customer Service concerning product availability, shipment, and deliveries.
    2. Responsible for tracking competitor sales and marketing programs and advising AgriGold Management.
    3. Responsible for non-dealer accounts including distributors, large operators, etc.
    4. Other duties as required.



    Bachelor of Science in Agriculture or related field desired; five years seed industry experience preferred; excellent communication skills; team oriented; detail orientated; required computer skills – MS Excel and Word;



    Ability to work required hours; ability to lift 50 lbs.; must have valid driver’s license and meet MVR guidelines; some overnight travel required.
