We are currently looking for a Regional Sales Manager for our Wensman brand.

 

This position directs the sales efforts of assigned region so as to achieve maximum sales, increased market penetration and efficient distribution of product; co-responsible for recruiting and training of Resource Managers and Area Sales Managers.

Responsibilities

  1. Responsible for maintaining a high level of customer service and professionalism.
  2. Responsible for projecting a positive image of Wensman Seed and AgReliant Genetics.
  3. Directs the sales efforts of assigned Territory Sales Manager’s territories so as to achieve maximum sales, increased market penetration and efficient distribution of product.
  4. Determines sales force requirements and provides forecasts as required.
  5. Implements sales programs in the assigned territory and establishes sales objectives for Resource Managers.
  6. Organization of Sales Meetings including coordination of support, such as agronomists, marketing, administration, logistics, etc.
  7. Responsible for collection of past due accounts.
  8. Responsible for region budget as directed by the Wensman Seeds’ Management, including building sales forecast and sales reports, budget presentation and reporting.
  9. Responsible for show plots.
  10. Responsible for participation in trade shows as needed.
  11. Responsible for regional advertising in cooperation with marketing department.
  12. Works closely with Customer Service concerning product availability, shipment, and deliveries.
  13. Supervision and development of the sales force.
  14. Responsible for tracking competitor sales and marketing programs and advising Wensman Seed Management.
  15. Responsible for non-dealer accounts including distributors, large operators, etc.
  16. Manages own sales territory if applicable.
  17. Attends sales meetings and other company functions as required.
  18. Completes all reporting requirements on a timely basis as required.
  19. Maintains confidentiality pertaining to company finances, technology, employee wages and performance, and other issues as directed.
  20. Other duties as required.

 

Duties and responsibilities may be revised as needed by the Brand Manager either verbally and / or in writing.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor of Science in Agriculture or related field desired; five years experience preferred; excellent communication skills, team player; detail orientated; good computer skills – Excel and Word; knowledge of seed industry preferred.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to work required hours; ability to lift 50 lbs.; must have valid driver’s license and meet MVR guidelines; some overnight travel required.
