AgReliant Genetics is looking for a Regional Business Director for our LG Seeds division.

 

This position directs the sales efforts of assigned region so as to achieve maximum sales, increased market penetration and efficient distribution of product; co-responsible for recruiting and training of Resource Managers and Area Sales Managers.

Responsibilities

  1. Responsible for maintaining a high level of customer service and professionalism.
  2. Responsible for projecting a positive image of LG Seeds and AgReliant Genetics.
  3. Directs the sales efforts of assigned Resource Manager territories so as to achieve maximum sales, increased market penetration and efficient distribution of product.
  4. Co-responsible with the National Sales Manager and Human Resources for recruitment and training of Resource Managers and Area Sales Managers.
  5. Determines sales force requirements and provides forecasts as required.
  6. Implements sales programs in the assigned territory and establishes sales objectives for Resource Managers.
  7. Organization of Sales Meetings including coordination of support, such as agronomists, marketing, administration, logistics, etc.
  8. Responsible for collection of past due accounts.
  9. Responsible for region budget as directed by the LG Seeds’ Management, including building sales forecast and sales reports, budget presentation and reporting.
  10. Responsible for show plots in coordination with local agronomist.
  11. Responsible for participation in trade shows as needed.
  12. Responsible for regional advertising in cooperation with marketing department.
  13. Works closely with Customer Service concerning product availability, shipment, and deliveries.
  14. Supervision and development of the sales force including Resource Managers and Area Sales Managers as applicable.
  15. Responsible for tracking competitor sales and marketing programs and advising LG Seeds’ Management.
  16. Responsible for non-dealer accounts including distributors, large operators, etc.
  17. Other duties as required.

 

Duties and responsibilities may be revised as needed by the National Sales Manager and/or Brand Manager either verbally and / or in writing.

Qualifications

Education/Experience:

Bachelor of Science in Agriculture or related field desired; five years experience preferred; excellent communication skills, team player; detail orientated; good computer skills – Excel and Word; knowledge of seed industry preferred.

 

Physical:

Ability to work required hours; ability to lift 50 lbs.; must have valid driver’s license and meet MVR guidelines; some overnight travel required.
