We are currently looking for a Production Trainee throughout the Mid-West. 

Responsibilities

This position will be assigned to an AgReliant Genetics facility and work in the production and logistics of seed. This individual will be responsible for learning all functions of seed production and the procedures needed to maintain high quality. The Trainee will receive comprehensive training to understand all divisions of the seed company and maximize their value to AgReliant Genetics.  After successful completion of the Production Trainee assignment, the individual will be made available for consideration for placement in an AgReliant position and must be open to relocation. 

 

Responsibilities:
1. Learn about the seed business and AgReliant Genetics organization with possible rotational assignments in Battle Creek, NE, Elmwood, IL, Kankakee, IL, Ogden, IA, Ovid, MI, St Francisville, IL, or Wadena, MN. 
2. Submit all required reports and projects in a timely manner.
3. Work under a location manager at the designated site
4. Manage part time and full time staff as designated by the location manager
5. Maintain a high level of customer service and professionalism.
6. Manage multiple projects and task simultaneously.
7. Analyze business information and recommend appropriate changes.
8. Accept coaching and mentoring and incorporate these ideas and techniques into work.
9. Demonstrate ability to achieve successful results.
10. Interact and support other groups/departments as needed.
11. Ensure safety standards are adhered to at all times. 
12. Project a positive image of AgReliant Genetics.
13. Maintain appearance of Company vehicle and equipment.
14. Preform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
 
Bachelor of Science in Agriculture or related field; previous agricultural-related experience; excellent communication skills, team player; detail orientated; good computer skills – Excel, Word and Power Point; knowledge of seed industry preferred.
 
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
 
Ability to work required hours and travel as necessary; ability to lift 50 lbs.; must have valid driver’s license and meet MVR & DOT guidelines; overnight travel required; available to relocate as required.
